Short version: Supported free tools process file contents in your browser and do not send them to OwnCom’s processing endpoint. Some AI features download model assets from a model provider on first use; the image contents are processed locally. For website service customers, we collect only what is necessary to deliver the service.

Free Tools (Image Compressor, PDF to JPG, PDF Rearrange, Anything to PDF, QR Generator, BG Remover, and Image Editor): File processing happens locally in your browser using JavaScript; image, PDF, and QR contents are not transmitted to OwnCom’s processing endpoint by these tools. Some AI features download model code or weights from an external provider on first use; this is separate from sending your image contents. When first-party measurement is enabled on selected tools (currently Image Compressor, QR Generator, PDF to JPG, PDF Rearrange, Anything to PDF, Background Remover, and Image Editor), we may record one tool-page view per tool per browser-tab session, plus coarse events for tool start, successful processing, a controlled processing failure, and output download. These events may contain the allow-listed tool/event type, selected output format where relevant, bounded processing duration, a controlled error category, a coarse device category, a server timestamp, and a temporary browser-session identifier stored only as a keyed hash. Tool-view events do not include the full page URL, query string, or referrer. We do not collect file contents, filenames, file sizes, image dimensions, QR payloads, or raw tool inputs in these event records. Session-level counts are estimates and do not identify verified unique people. Hosting access logs may also be maintained according to the hosting provider's settings.
Website Service Customers: When you sign up for a paid plan, we collect your name, phone number, email address, and business details necessary to build and manage your website.
Contact via WhatsApp: When you message us, WhatsApp's own privacy policy governs that interaction.
Image Editor: Poster color analysis and export processing run in the browser. Image Editor telemetry records only the tool/event type, bounded duration, selected export format, coarse device category, timestamp, and keyed session hash. It does not send image bytes or poster text to the analytics endpoint. Magic Poster uses local palette extraction and does not send uploaded images to Anthropic.
Owncom Live Source: If you publish or view a Live Source object, we process the content you choose to publish, the object URL, and limited technical event data needed to provide and measure the service. We may use a first-party anonymous browser identifier for deduplication and product analytics. IP addresses, where retained for abuse protection or aggregate measurement, are stored in hashed form. Recipient accounts are not required for viewing a public object. User-published objects may remain publicly accessible at their shared URL until the creator hides or expires them, or until we remove them for abuse, privacy, or legal reasons. You may request deletion of an object or related personal data through our contact channel.
We use minimal first-party session storage for workflow continuity and limited pseudonymous product measurement where enabled. Separately, we offer optional Google Analytics 4 to measure page visits and understand general website usage. The Google Analytics tag is not loaded and no Google Analytics data is sent unless you choose “Accept analytics.” If you reject analytics or have not made a choice, the Google Analytics tag remains blocked. After acceptance, Google Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies and process information such as page views, browser/device details, and general interaction data to provide measurement. We do not use Google Analytics for advertising.
You can change your Google Analytics choice at any time using the control below. Your choice is stored in this browser. Blocking optional Google Analytics does not affect the functionality of Owncom tools. Existing first-party reliability and product telemetry, where enabled, is separate from Google Analytics and is described in the relevant sections of this policy.
Customer account data is retained for the duration of the service relationship plus 12 months. First-party tool event records, when enabled, are retained for no more than 24 months under the configured retention job; if that job is not active, client-side tool-event collection must remain disabled. Anonymous analytics data is retained for up to 24 months. For Live Source, object content remains at the creator's shared URL until the creator hides/expires it or Owncom removes it; event telemetry is retained only as long as reasonably necessary for service operation, abuse prevention, and aggregate measurement. We store referrer information in a field capped at 500 characters and user/browser identifiers in anonymous form for deduplication; IP addresses are retained only as hashed values for abuse protection or aggregate measurement. Reports can be submitted using the Report control on Live Source pages and are handled through our service process. Live Source v1 does not currently include an automated purge job; telemetry may be retained for up to 24 months for service operation, abuse prevention, and aggregate measurement, subject to operational and legal requirements. You may request deletion of your personal data or report an object through our WhatsApp contact channel.

We use HTTPS across all pages. Customer data is stored on secure servers. No payment information is stored by us — payments are processed via third-party payment gateways.
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance.
